Westin | W4 W-SW Saltwater Spinning Reel

Step into the challenging arena of warm water saltwater fishing equipped with the Westin W4 W-SW (Warm Saltwater) spinning reel. Engineered specifically to battle powerful, fast-running species and withstand corrosive environments, this reel series is your ultimate tool for success. The W4 W-SW is built around a robust K-Alloy body and rotor, providing exceptional rigidity to handle immense pressure without flexing. This ensures your gears remain perfectly aligned, delivering maximum winding power when you need it most. Feel the fluid performance of the 5+1 sealed stainless steel bearing system, designed to provide enduring smoothness while shielding against saltwater intrusion, enhanced by an IPX5 water resistance rating. When a trophy fish smashes your lure, the one-piece sealed stainless steel instant anti-reverse engages without fail, giving you solid hooksets. Lock down and fight with confidence using the powerful, sealed Carbon Matrix drag system. Featuring three carbon washers in the 5000 size and an upgraded five washer system in the 6000, 8000 and 10000 sizes for maximum stopping power (up to 30lbs), this drag delivers smooth, reliable pressure from the initial run to the final moments of the fight. The larger 6000 and 8000 models boast ultra-tough CNC Hard Brass main gears for superior strength and durability when targeting truly big game species. All sizes feature a forged aluminium, braid-ready spool, double-anodised for superior corrosion resistance and designed for perfect line lay. The strong, machined aluminium folding handle provides excellent leverage and connects to a comfortable TPE knob for a non-slip grip.
