Competition Terms and Conditions

1. The promoter

Competitions on this website are run by Wildhunter.ie, Gardenvale, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, N37 X8H2, Ireland ("we", "us"). Questions: contact us through the details on our contact page.

2. Who can enter

2.1 You must be 18 or over. We may ask for proof of age and identity before awarding a prize.

2.2 Our staff and their immediate families and households may not enter.

2.3 Each person may hold only one wildhunter.ie customer account. Anyone found using more than one account, someone else's details or false details will have all of their entries (free and paid) in every live competition disqualified without refund, and may be barred from future competitions.

3. How to enter

3.1 Each competition page states the prize, the price per entry, the number of entries available, the closing date and the competition question.

3.2 To enter online, choose an entry number, answer the competition question and complete checkout. Each entry number can only be taken once.

3.3 Only entries with the correct answer are entered into the draw. Entries with an incorrect or missing answer are not entered and the entry fee is not refunded.

3.4 By entering you accept these terms.

4. Free postal entry

4.1 You can enter any competition free of charge by post. Only one free entry per person per competition is allowed.

4.2 To enter for free you must have a wildhunter.ie customer account, registered in your own name with your own mobile phone number.

4.3 Send a letter by ordinary post (standard An Post stamp) to: Wildhunter.ie Competitions, Gardenvale, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, N37 X8H2. Include: the name of the competition, your full name, postal address, mobile phone number, the email address of your wildhunter.ie account, and your answer to the competition question. These details must match your account. Hand-delivered entries are not accepted.

4.4 Any further free entries from the same person, household account or details for the same competition are void. Bulk entries are not accepted.

4.5 Postal entries must be received before the closing date. Each valid postal entry is allocated the next available entry number and is entered into the same draw with exactly the same chance of winning as a paid entry. If all entry numbers have been taken before a postal entry arrives, it cannot be entered.

4.6 We do not acknowledge receipt of postal entries or confirm whether the answer is correct. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.

5. Closing date

5.1 Each competition closes on the date shown on its page, or earlier if all entries are taken.

5.2 If not all entries have been taken by the closing date, we may extend the closing date once, and everyone who has entered will be told by email; or we may cancel the competition, in which case every paid entry is refunded in full.

6. The draw

6.1 The winner is chosen live on our social media, using an electronic random number generator to select one entry number from all valid entries. The recording is kept on our Competition Winners page.

6.2 If the number drawn belongs to an invalid entry, it is redrawn.

6.3 Our decision on the result is final.

7. The prize

7.1 The prize is as described on the competition page. There is no cash alternative unless stated. If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control, we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

7.2 We will contact the winner using the details given with their entry. If we cannot reach the winner, or the prize is not claimed within 14 days of first contact, we may redraw.

7.3 High-value prizes are to be collected in person from our shop in Athlone. If collection isn't possible we will discuss delivery with the winner.

8. Publicity and your data

8.1 If you win, you agree that we may publish your name and area (town or county) as the winner on the competition page, on our Competition Winners page and on our social media. We never publish your address, phone number or email.

8.2 We use the personal details you give us only to run the competition, check eligibility and contact the winner, in line with our Privacy Policy.

9. General

9.1 No VAT is charged on competition entries.

9.2 We may cancel or amend a competition if circumstances outside our control make it necessary; if a competition is cancelled, all paid entries are refunded in full.

9.3 We may disqualify entries that are fraudulent, automated or break these terms.

9.4 These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. Your statutory rights are not affected.
